We often focus so much on the birth that we forget to contemplate life once our baby arrives. During this extremely busy period it can be hard for a mother to find time to nurture her physical and mental wellbeing.
These are specially adapted classes, designed for the changing postnatal body, and you come along with your baby. Noise, changing, feeding and moving around are all welcome! Classes are nurturing and supportive to each individual and their own experience of being a new mother.
Join postnatal yoga from 6 weeks after vaginal birth and 8 weeks after cesarian birth.
I offer a monthly postnatal Mama-Baby Circle, Mondays, 10:00-12:00, at Hidden Store, Bath (come along with your baby).
A gentle and supportive circle, including:
- A chance to catch up with other new mums and their babies
- Specially adapted postnatal yoga and breathwork
- Exercises to reconnect with your pelvic diaphragm
- Rebozo/pelvic wrapping techniques
- Guided relaxation and calming techniques
- Home made snacks and healing teas
A nurturing way to ease back into movement, realign and strengthen after having a baby.
At the start of each class we have a catch-up to see how everyone is doing. An opportunity to share, get something off you chest and ask questions.
These classes help to create community. New parents can meet each other to find support and friendship. We were never meant to be doing this alone. This is often really appreciated by second and third time mums who may not be be attending NCT classes.
